Hitachi Electronic Products (M) Sdn. Bhd. was established at Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, on 18th of January, 1989 as a part of Hitachi, Ltd.’s expansion into Malaysia's dynamic electronics industry. Progressing with the nation, HEPM is one of the manufacturers of Optical Data Storage (ODS) drives in Malaysia. In this new millennium, HEPM continues to hold onto a fervent commitment towards transfer of technology, which has steered us towards becoming an international leader in Optical Data Storage products. Standing firm on tenets of integrity and sincerity, we look ahead in contributing to the development of Malaysia's community and technology, while protecting the environment.
8 November 1991 officially marked the beginning of HEPM's climb to the top. This auspicious day saw the former Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad stepping into HEPM's new premises in Bandar Baru Bangi to officiate the Official Opening Ceremony.
